This year Future of Technology in Education (FOTE) ran a startup pitchfest as part of their annual event looking at trends and influences on IT in education. Reframed was selected for the shortlist of ten and was invited to give a three-minute elevator pitch followed by an on-stage Q&A by Dr Maren Deepwell (Chief Executive, ALT) and Nicola Yeeles (Education Technology).
15428742532_18e116fe71_oWe got great feedback from the audience of learning technologists, managers and teachers. Although we’ve done a few of these pitching events, they’re usually in front of investors and the startup community, so it was a great opportunity to get market validation from one of our specific target markets – education.
Showcasing Reframed in this way enabled us to meet some partners, which we’re looking forward to being able to announce next year.
IMG_2273The voting was very close and we were just pipped to the post by Fluency, coming runner-up. The other startups were solely education-based and as this is just one of many applications for Reframed we were particularly pleased to have captured the audience’s imagination. And of course to bring home a nice shiny thing for the team.
